Dawn of a New Day

Does darkness loom like a black fog over your head today? If so, you may be just around the corner from the dawn of a new day.

The darkness in your life may be just around the corner from the dawn of a new day.

Yeah, I know you may be thinking that’s easy for me to say. After all, how could I possibly understand what you’re going through right now. You’re right. I don’t know what you’re going through. But I can tell you I’ve gone through similar things. And the key part of that phrase is “gone through”. Yep, I started out on one side and saw things through to the other side. How?

Because I’m just so special.

Not!

Because my Creator is so special. I know He never leaves me nor forsakes me. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. That doesn’t mean I WILL do all things…but I CAN…if I just will.

Jesus, who is your Creator, designed you. He gave you a body, soul, and spirit. He gave you the capacity to love and the freedom to choose to love…the freedom to choose life. And with the dawn of every new day you have another opportunity to either serve God and others…or selfishly serve yourself.

How To Pass From Death To Life

I’ve studied a lot of tutorials in recent years. How-to books and ebooks on marketing, design, website building, and much more. But there’s one tutorial no family, person, or business should be without. It’s often overlooked since it can be somewhat of challenge to read and comprehend. But this tutorial is worth it because it shows you the one-step process on how to pass from death to life.

If you’ve never read (or even heard of) the Bible (the previously mentioned “tutorial), you may have a hard time understanding how you are spiritually dead. It’s the way you were born, so you don’t have to examine your life to see what you did to get this way.

But knowing you’re spiritually dead is necessary in order to know you need to get your hands on the tutorial. The Bible is also sometimes called the “manual for humans”. Just like the manual you find in a new car tells you how to best take care of your vehicle, the Bible instructs you on all the finer points of life. Not just the here-and-now life. I mean eternal life, too.

Once you realize the spirit of eternal life doesn’t exist in you, you might wonder how you can get your hands on it. If so, great! The one-step process I mentioned above is accepting the free gift of grace and eternal life from the only One who can give it to you. Yes, I’m talking about Jesus. Now, don’t think this is some televangelist type of message where there’ll be requests for money at the end. This is a simple, relational message. A relationship between you and your Creator. Jesus made you, and only He can give you eternal life. Trust in Him, and you’ll pass from death to life.

You can choose to ignore this article of mine. And the choice is also freely yours. But you will not be able to choose the consequences of that choice once you pass away. If you die in your sins, then, of your own free will, you’ve chosen to be apart from God, the Source of Life, forever.

Don’t do it. I implore you. It’s a simple matter of recognizing your own finite limitations and giving your heart to the God of no limitations. Then, instead of passing from this life to death…

…you’ll pass from death to life…and the love of God makes it eternal.

Fullness of Joy

The fullness of joy most people seek (whether they know it or not) is only found in a relationship with your Creator. And God IS your Creator…even if you don’t believe in Him. David, who was King of Israel, was a songwriter. Many of his lyrics, known as Psalms, are found in the Bible. And he talked all the time about his relationship with God. He wrote, “You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.“

You won’t find a world of peace, tranquility, and wealth simply because you place your faith in Jesus. You won’t see the troubles of the world fade away when you look to God for answers. In fact, you may even see troubles increase…at least from time to time.

Gosh, Tony, why would I want to seek your so-called “fullness of joy?”

The joy I’m talking about springs from Living Water and flows through your spirit. By that I mean, your joy won’t be based on the things and people of this world. Your joy will be focused on the only One who can (and will) give you eternal life. Knowing that your “three score and ten” here on planet earth is an infinitesimal fraction of your life puts it in perspective.

I’m urging you, today, to consider your eternal potential. As a Christian, I know, without a doubt, there will be an eternity of existence for every human being. Where you’ll spend it depends on the choice you make in the here and now. You can either exist as a bodiless, spiritless, soul forever tormented by the knowledge of “what could have been”…or you can LIVE! Live in the fullness of a body that will never grow old and die. Live in the presence of the very source of Life, your Creator.

Please, choose Life and experience the eternal fullness of joy.

You’ve probably read the story…a well-known musician says he became a singer songwriter because he saw it was a way to “get the girls“. For some reason the girls thought the singer songwriters were somehow more sensitive and caring. Yeah, they could sing the words that would pierce deeply into the heart of the hopeful girl and fill her with hope.

Well, I could say I’m a singer songwriter who shared that story…but it wouldn’t exactly be true. I loved songs and singing and words and music long before I tried to win any girl’s heart. And for me music was the quintessential gift from God. Nothing (or no thing) was, or is, more full of life than music.

How is it then, that any musician worth his sensitive salt could ever decide to not “choose life”?

If I hadn’t been allowed to live (in this world), I would never have written hundreds of songs, sung tens of thousands of times to countless faces, and been able to enjoy the gift of smiles from listeners. And I never would have enjoyed anyone else making music either. It’s not to say there’s no beautiful music in Heaven…I’m positive there is…it’s just that there’s so much beauty in the music here. And all it would have taken for me to miss out on all of it is someone’s “choice“.

Please think deeply about what you’re saying, if you say “pro choice“. Please think about where that choice leads. Please consider your fellow human being as every bit as important as you. From the moment we’re conceived we’re important. Sure it seems like there are so many days of darkness, despair, and distrust. But don’t help perpetuate that limited reality…

Can A Singer Songwriter Beat The World?

Even When Things Get Tough
We can still beat the world

Once upon a time there was this world. And it was good. And beautiful. And pure.

Fast forward about 6,000 years…and we have this world. And it’s not so good. It’s messed up. And purity is long gone.

All around us are stories of tragedy, catastrophe, and calamity. Thieves, liars, and murderers.

But I don’t think we should throw our hands up in the air and give in. Or leave the fixing to politicians who’d rather line their pockets from the wealth they redistribute.

Choose life and fight back, and…

Every singer songwriter should be
FOR Personhood

If you’re a singer songwriter,  please join me in singing for the personhood of every human being from their biological beginning to their natural death…

If you’re reading this, you’re a person. And you’ve been a person your whole life. And your whole life began at the…(wait for it)…the beginning. And even if you can’t say for sure when that beginning was, you know without a doubt your personhood, or the human form you now inhabit, had a beginning.

This seems like the simplest and easiest logic in the world to follow.

I would think anyone could wrap their brain around it and agree. Amazingly, though, tens of millions of people can’t bring themselves to say they began at the beginning. So…tens of millions of other people have died in the name of “choice”. They were denied the same basic freedoms everyone of us hopes to enjoy…life, liberty, and the simple pursuit of happiness. It’s a cryin’ shame.

Former President, Ronald Reagan, is quoted as saying something like: “I notice everybody that is for abortion has already been born.” Unfortunately President Reagan made some poor decisions when it came to abortion, but I think he regretted them. I’m sure he does now. But the main point is…yeah, you’ve already been born. Why not let others enjoy that right to life?

If you support abortion, I encourage you to stop being so blasted selfish. You’re not more special than those other people who are being killed every day because of you.

Here’s a “crazy” idea. Let’s make “choice” a beautiful word again. Choice for every person to enjoy the benefits of personhood. And to live and at least have a chance at this life. Sure, it can be tough, but it can be immensely and eternally rewarding. Choose life. Now that’s what I call a PRO CHOICE…
