Truth is hate as I'll demonstrate

Phrases. Short sentences. Sound bites. You don’t have to make hour-long speeches to discover how truth is hate to those who hate the Truth. And, YES, people DO hate the Truth. Especially the absolute kind.

And truth is hate, to them, because they want to deflect it.

For example, the Earth is relatively young. Yeah, no more than 10,000 years old. And probably as young as 6000 to 7000 years old. That’s all I gotta say to get generations of public-schooled people all fired up. Because, for generations, those government run institutions have poured the evolution fairy tale into mellow minds of mush.

And the mouths attached to those mellow minds of mush have regurgitated the fairy tale over and over until (just as Hitler loved) it has become the human origin gospel.

Ironically, they don’t wanna hear the actual gospel.

And how about this one? Absolute truth absolutely exists. Yikes! Now, THERE’S an ice breaker. To say the least. That’s probably one of the worst things, against their worldview, you can say. Because, of course, a statement like that implies a standard. And a standard implies a standard bearer or source.

Uh-oh. A bearer? A source?

That can’t lead anywhere good. Right?

Nope. Just eternal life with your Creator. But who wants to suffer through truth just to live forever.?

And, whoa! There’s a whole ‘nother case of truth is hate. Yeah, I just brought up a Creator. And now I’ve written it twice. And both times I capitalized the C. You know what that means. I’m not talkin’ about some run-of-the-mill artist. No, it’s THE Creator. THE one who made the whole universe from nothing.

“Wow! This Tony Funderburk dude is out of control with his assertions, claims, and demonstrations.”

I know most of the people in the world would love to portray someone like me as a hater. Because, inside their heart of hearts, they understand that hate exists. It has to in order for love to be freely given. BUT they don’t wanna admit their own hatred. So, in spite of their love for diversity and tolerance, somebody’s gotta be the hater.

And that means people, like me, who wanna share God’s love. We obviously hate. Because we say there’s only one Way to Heaven and eternal life. And we say it’s either that Way or you go to hell. And when you bring up hell and eternal consequences, your Truth sounds harsh and hateful. You just got on their last diverse and tolerant nerve. Yeah, you just crossed the line.

Well, I don’t know about you…

But I’ll be fine across that line
‘Cause the love of God is mine.
I’ll opine in the sunshine
‘Cause the joy of God is mine.
And I align with the new wine
‘Cause the life of God is mine.

Love is greater than the stupid hater.

Love is greater than the stupid hater. And I need to clarify that assertion.

Because I’m not saying that everyone who hates is stupid. At least, not all the time. And I still need to clarify.

Because this whole “hate is bad” thing is so discombobulated nowadays that people have completely lost the ability to hate correctly. Uh-oh. Is that an open can of worms I see?

OK, here’s why I say love is greater than the stupid hater.

And I don’t just say that love is greater than hate…like “everybody else.”

Because there truly IS a difference between a stupid hater and (wait for it) a wise hater. YES, you CAN be wise AND hate. If you’re a Christian, I know you don’t disagree. Right? But if you’re not a Christian, you might it’s hateful of me to even bring up the subject of hate and put it under a positive light.

But, here’s the thing.

God hates.

And if it’s justifiable for God to hate (and it is), then it’s also justifiable for me (and you) to hate. Not all the time. And not for any reason you “feel like.” For example, all the loving, tolerant world of diversity promoters. Their so-called “love” is so filled with hypocritical hate they can’t see straight. Literally AND figuratively. And they harbor a cauldron of hate in their heart for Christians who would dare say there’s a such thing as wise hatred.

Here’s something I wrote about it over seven years ago…

The hatred of the world is virtually palpable these days.

It grows from ignorance and selfishness. It abounds in the minds of many who claim that hatred only exists in others. That’s the definition of hypocrisy. Unfortunately hypocrisy tends to be invisible to the hypocrite. And that’s partly how the hatred of this world grows. OK…now that I’ve opened this article with so much peace, love, and joy…

…let me give you the positive part of the news. God’s love is greater than all the hatred of the world. His love overcomes and endures forever. His love made a way for you to live forever, too. Now that’s awesome news!

Here’s an example of God’s love toward you. He made you a person with your own will. You’re not one of His robots who can do nothing except His bidding. This is important to realize because it means you get to choose whether or not you want to live with God forever. He loves you and wants to show you eternal paradise. But He won’t force you there if you don’t want to go…another glimpse into His love.

If you succumb to the hatred of the world…

…you may find yourself doubting God even exists. Your worldview becomes biased according to what only your five senses can tell you. But which of your five senses contain love or hate? Which of your five senses contain your thoughts?

I encourage you to re-think your decision to turn your back on God if you have. As long as you have breath in you (and your mental faculties) it’s not too late to change your mind and accept His love. He’s made it easily available. All you gotta do is…ask…and you WILL receive it.

Do it before the dark and dreary hatred of the world chews you up and spits you into hell.

Now, go and use your new hate power, today. But use it wisely, Grasshopper. Because, remember. Love is greater.

Give Me The Whole Jesus

Oh give me love…give me justice…
Give me Grace and the strength to endure.
When the world comes against me,
Give me Your Spirit steadfast and sure.

Yes, Give me words…give me courage…
Give me time and a powerful voice.
And when many still may hate me,
Give me Your love and I’ll always rejoice.

Give me the whole Jesus;
The whole Good Lord…
The One who shields the child…
The One who wields the sword.
Give me the whole Jesus
Son of God and man…
‘Cause only Jesus saves…
And only Jesus can! Only Jesus can! Only Jesus can!

Then give me dreams…give me wisdom…
Give me peace at the end of my days.
And give me life…everlasting…
In Your world and in Your higher ways.

Chorus

Freedom from oppression is in serious regression

Freedom from oppression? Uh, no.

What do China and Leavenworth federal penitentiary have in common? Answer”most everyone in each place would like to get out. Well, that’s probably true about China. But Leavenworth? Hmm…I’m not so sure the inmates feel the need for freedom from oppression in prisons anymore. In fact, I’m sure there are plenty of them who prefer the security of all their needs being met. But maybe that’s just me. And maybe I’m wrong. That happened to me once before.

Freedom from oppression is in serious regression

Freedom from oppression is not the same as peace.

China and Leavenworth both have a fair amount of daily “peace”going on. As long as you don’t rock the boat in those places, you can live your daily life in relative peace. But there’s no freedom. And true lovers of liberty would gladly trade their peaceful existence, in prison or under tyrannical governments, for freedom.

America was founded on the principles of freedom. Freedom from”and freedom to.

Freedom from religious oppression and tyrannical leaders. Freedom to assemble, speak, bear arms, etc. And our freedoms are often the tools would-be tyrannical leaders use against us. It’s ironic but true.

As a writer, I’m thankful for the freedom I still have (at least for now) to express myself. Like I am right now. And it’s awesome to be able to compose, arrange, and produce songs for my own pleasure, for businesses, and for audiences.

But I’m just like anybody else. I’ve taken my freedom for granted. And that’s the enigma of freedom. It makes a free people lackadaisical about how and why they’re free. So, they begin to assume and believe freedoms will never be taken away. But if history teaches us anything, and for most people it never does, it’s that freedoms CAN be taken away.

And are.

And they’re being taken from us right now. From under our very noses, as we bury them in our digital devices.

But maybe the oppressors just wanna take a little.

Yeah, that’s just how it works.
Turn a blind eye to the jerks
Who just want a piece of your life and your peace
And maybe a few of the perks.

The Reality of Faith

Tony Funderburk Posted on November 22, 2013 by TonyNovember 26, 2013
The resurrection of Jesus is the Reality Of Faith for anyone willing to believe.

I have faith. Faith in God, in His Son Jesus, and in the Holy Spirit. But if these three don’t truly exist, my faith is in vain. So, the question arises…can I know they exist? I mean…really know? Well, the Bible shares the story, from several perspectives, of the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus. If that story is true, then He is the reality of faith.

The resurrection of Jesus is the Reality Of Faith for anyone willing to believe.

If there really was, and is, a man named Jesus…who was, and is, God…then what He did for all of mankind clearly shows He is the reality of faith. Just imagine God, who has always existed, taking on human flesh to truly experience what we experience. Now, go beyond that. God, who exists as one God in three distinct persons, had never known anything but perfect life. He had always experienced perfect communion in the Godhead as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. But He came to us and died for us and rose again for us.

I fully realize this is impossible for human brains to fully comprehend. But we can apprehend it even as we apprehend the petals of a rose…so delicate, soft, and delightfully scented…yet so incredibly resilient and potent.

Once God decided to create the universe, our solar system, Earth, and all of us creatures in it, He took a huge risk. And some would say it didn’t pay off for Him so well. He gave us our own will. We’re free to love Him. We’re not forced to love Him. And in order for us to be truly free to love Him…we must also be free to hate Him.

And billions do.

You think you’ve had it bad? Imagine never experiencing death and knowing you cannot be killed. Then imagine being willing to take on the form of those who hate you in order to take on the punishment they deserve. And that punishment is death.

For Jesus to be born, grow up and be killed on a cross, and then rise from the dead to show us what can look forward to if we choose Him…He must love us so much.

Is this a true story? Well, the Bible has stood the test of time and immense scrutiny for thousands of years. There were eyewitness accounts to the death and resurrection of Jesus. There’s an enormous amount of evidence that His story is true and that He really did take our punishment on Himself. And because He did that for me…He is the reality of faith for me. How about you? If this reality hasn’t found its way into your heart, while you still breathe, it’s not too late.
