You belong to God. No matter who you are. No matter where you live. And no matter what you’ve done. He paid for you. And I can tell you this, you were expensive. It cost Him more than you could ever repay. Even if you used Elon Musk’s bank account or put all the resources in the world together, you couldn’t make a dent in the debt.
So? Don’t make it your intent to make a dent.
Because God doesn’t expect you to pay Him back. He already paid the price for your eternal life. And He offers it to you as a perfectly free gift. That’s what makes the Grace He offers so amazing. It won’t cost you anything. Well, you WILL have to give up your need to be your own god. But you can do that. Right?
Let’s look at it this way…
How ’bout I offer you a car that’s totally paid for. All the taxes, registration, insurance, and a lifetime gas supply are included. Would you be interested? Keep in mind, we’re talking about a car. And every car eventually breaks down and turns into a rust heap or pile of junk. But my guess is, if someone offered you a brand new one for free, you’d be very willing to at least look at it.
Yeah, if you found out all you had to do was accept, you’d probably accept. I know I would. C’mon, we’re talking about a new car for crying out loud!
Sure, your skeptical mind might also wonder “what’s the catch?”
And what if I told you that you gotta belong to God to get it?
Uh-oh. That’s a Model 3 of a different color. Eh, mate?
But I think the possibility of eternal life (a new car) should at least be on your to-do list of things to explore?
Because God already bought and paid for it. And, let’s be real. If you had to pay for it, even in a million years you wouldn’t make a dent in the cost. Here’s a little bit of irony. God already made two places where you can go when you die. But, because He’s a living, loving God, you get to decide, right now, which place it’ll be.
Eternal separation from Him in hell. Or eternal life in Heaven with Him. I suggest the Heaven option. Open your heart to the Spirit of Jesus. Get your spirit renewed with His Spirit of Life. And live with hope and anticipation.
I always mention how this is a limited time offer. You only have until your last breath to make the decision. So, don’t put it off. You should act now and forever belong to God. Or spend eternity in a place where you won’t make a dent.
C’mon and beat the world, and try to leave a dent.
