Yum. Ham steaks. Yeah, when you get good ones, you’ve got yourself a mighty find Sunday morning (or afternoon or evening) entreé. Here in the Funderbungalow we haven’t had them in a while. But a short blurb, on social media, caught my eye and made me think of something I read in one of Paul’s letters to the Christians in Corinth.
Before I share something about that, here’s what that social media blurb said:
Ham Steaks: The Quiet Grocery Staple Many Families Love
Ham steaks are affordable. There are fully cooked 1-pound packages around $5. And they’re delicious options for:
- quick pan-searing,
- grilling, and
- cubing into omelets and salads.
Families have shared stories of:
- relying on them during lean times,
- frying them up with eggs and biscuits,
- or simple sides like mashed potatoes.
While some have moved away due to processed meat concerns, fans praise their no-fuss versatility for busy nights.
Well, I’m not so sure there are many Americans who agree with that affordable part. But maybe the rest.
One thing I think more about lately, with all the sickening muslim activity around the globe, is how we need to eat more pork. And raise more pork. And share pictures of pigs all over social media, TV, billboards, you name it.
Those knucklehead muslims have serious issues with pork.
So, I say pork lives matter! Now, more than ever
Paul told his spiritual son, Timothy, that “every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is set apart; sanctified by the word of God and prayer.”
So, that should help anyone with eyes to see how if God didn’t want us to eat animals, He wouldn’t have made them out of meat. And if you’re hungry for Truth, use…
The Master’s Knife
Don’t be thirsty; drink from the Living Water.
Don’t be hungry; eat from the Bread Of Life.
And don’t be weary; you’re stronger when you serve.
Don’t be defenseless; carry the Master’s Knife. (repeat)
Even when days last forever
And when the nights bring no comfort,
Know that the One who created
Lived and then died for your hurt. repeat chorus twice
Anguish won’t end, if you trust your own hearts.
What matters most is who’s living within.
Turning your backs on the facts is a farce.
Give up your life to the One who became your sin! Repeat Chorus to end © 1999 TF
