Concerns about AI wiping out humanity have “been voiced so seriously by many of the scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, and investors actually building the technology…” So, now that you know those “experts” are so concerned, I hope you have a plan.
If you have a plan, I hope it includes using wisdom and discernment.
Otherwise you have a plan built on sand, Mister man. And those kinds of plans tend to turn into great material for political and/or religious jokes.
You can’t swing a dead pig (no, my articles are not, an never will be, certified halal approved) without hitting a headline about the coming AI dystopian future. But I predict that such a future will NEVER happen. I’ve staked my life on the reason why.
Yeah, I can make that bold prediction, with 100% confidence, because of another “prediction” I read about in the best selling book of all time. The author said the world (including the planet Earth) will end when He destroys it with an all-consuming fire. And I say that Histopian future trumps ALL dystopian future.
Sure, it still sounds ominous. But it will be under the control of the one true, living, loving God of creation. And He won’t cause the extinction of mankind, as AI doomsdayers predict the “machine” will do. Oh yeah, your creator also wrote, in His bestselling book of all time, that “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night shall not cease.”
So-called AI can do some amazing things at blazing speeds. And the technology is getting better and faster. But keep in mind, it is technology designed and implemented by human beings. So, it can help you have a plan for things like launching a business, outlining a book, or researching information.
But it will never be sentient. Never human.
Because only God can create, from scratch, life-filled human beings. If you have a plan to prove me wrong, I suggest you get another hobby. Or be prepared to be abruptly awakened one day. And if that happens, you’ll discover you treated the only true utopia for an artificial dystopia. You will regret that. Meanwhile, as for me and others who choose to love God, we will look forward to…
The Pure Place
I clamor for the clean life, and I never quite succeed.
I’m hunting for the high ground that’s higher than the sky.
And I’m looking for the love-life…the kind that we all need.
I’m wishing for the wonder that lives in my mind’s eye.
I want to find the Pure Place…that glitters like gold.
I need to find the Pure Place…never hot or cold.
I’d love to find the Pure Place…
Let the Light shine on my face…
No dreams I’d ever have to chase…
No bad that we could not erase…
I’d love to find…the Pure Place!
I’m searching for the sanctity that I never do quite find.
I’m longing for the living days that never, ever end.
And I’m thinking so theatrically, but at least I use my mind
To quest for the quintessence of my Forever Friend
