Cue the wackadoo snake charmer music. Because the power of three just cast another spell over me. Right here in the third month of the year. So, maybe 3 IS a charm.
After all, the power of 3 is found in the main building blocks of life.
Here are some factoids I shared a few years ago. And of course they’re still true:
- Atoms are made up of protons, electrons, and neutrons.
- Time exists as past, present, and future.
- Math is built on positive, negative, and zero. And…
- There’s no greater example of the power of 3 than the Holy Trinity: God in three persons. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
You probably already know there are three primary colors: red, yellow, and blue. And if you know that, you probably know that light splits into three hues: red, green, and blue, and from those three hues of light, you can watch color TV. And who doesn’t love that?
Did you ever watch that TV show, back in the 90s, called Third Rock From the Sun? Of course, they got that idea from the fact that earth is the third planet, in our solar system, away from the sun. Plus, the fact that you and I have trichromatic color vision. And matter basically breaks down into three states: solid, liquid, and gas.
Nowadays, we have the technology that helps us see much further down into our world of matter. In fact, you can get down into what’s known as quantum mechanics. And it breaks down into sections of three. For example, I read where electrons are part of three “flavors of leptons.” And protons and neutrons are made of three quarks. But we’re still not done. Because each of those three quarks is part of another couple of layers of three. Finally, you get down to exactly 3 generations of elementary particles that are underneath all matter.
Whew! And I could go on..
But I’m not obsessed.
Yeah, I certainly don’t walk around a building three times before I enter. And I don’t have to stay in hotel rooms with numbers divisible by three. The power of three ain’t got a hold of me, like it did Nikola Tesla.
But that’s for another time. I’ll just leave you with the reason I wrote this whole thing about this number that intrigues me. And that’s because this post is number 3333. And I guess I’ll leave you with this little rhyme too…
May the God of Hope
Bless you today,
Tomorrow, and forever.
And may his love
Leave you
Never, ever, ever.
