I’ve become a music producer for an audience.
Actually I guess I should say I’ve become a music producer for another audience. At least potentially, at this time. And that’s what all the talk about private label products was about. In case you don’t know what I’m talking about, click that there link there. <
It’s funny how the term “music producer” is now synonymous with singer songwriter.
Not funny ha-ha. Funny odd. Or a nonsensibly sensible. (yeah, I just made that up)
Anyway…I’m in the third week of a 60 day music challenge. I’m part of a group of musicians who want to write and compose music for an actual paying audience. (collective *GASP*) I know. It’s crazy. But there are some of us musicians and singer-songwriter types who’d like to be paid for our hard-earned skills. Sure, music is supposed to be free for everybody. So, I guess we should just shut up and produce. But golly gee, Wally! Where’s the harm in makin’ a few bucks. Especially if non-musical types, like rappers, get to.
“That’s just mean, Tony.”
Well, I just went back through my notes. And I don’t have anything reminding me to be a broke nice guy singer songwriter.
So, I figure since companies and businesses, through the years, have paid me thousands of dollars to compose personalized music for them, why not kick that up a notch or two.
And I found a way to do that. Mind you, it requires me to get my fingers creatively wrapped around the two sets of keys again. My music keyboard. And my computer keyboard. Not to simply talk about writing songs. And not to just write about and replay songs I wrote for another audience in a another phase of my life.
I’m considering sharing some short tunes here and on my podcast.
What do you think? Would you be interested in staying in the loop with new music for this new audience I’m taking about?
If you’d like to hear some songs, let me know.
If you’d really rather not, just say no.
Either way I gotta say that I’m hard at work today
Makin’ music, so I really gotta go.
Stay tuned,
