What you CAN do. But you gotta want to.

So, you’re sitting there trying to figure out what you can do for the 364 more days till Christmas. Right? Yeah, it’s all over but the leftovers now. Christmas came and went, as it has for years. Fast. And. Furious. And I won’t be surprised if I go into places of business today and hear NO Christmas music. Funny how it can start up months in advance. But stop the day after.

As the poet (or some sort of writer or philosopher) said, “time waits for no man.” The seconds tick in the rhythm of your heart. And your heart beats out the minutes and hours of your days. Then the days advance like an inspired army into the open arms of each passing year.

There’s nothing you can do about it. You can’t turn back the days. Or even stop the progression. You’ll just keep moving on down the road.

But what you can do something about is “the road.”

And, of course, I assumed you want to know what you can do as you move through time.

You can figure out where roads go, and which road you’ll travel. And you can decide whether you’ll walk, run, or drive.

At least you still get to make those choices for now. But we Americans (and other people around the world) continue to vote ourselves deeper and deeper into tyranny. So, sadly, America finds itself on the brink of suicide.

President Abraham Lincoln talked about this in an address to the Young Men’s Lyceum in Springfield, Illinois in 1838.

He said…

“At what point shall we expect the approach of danger? By what means shall we fortify against it? Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant, to step the Ocean, and crush us at a blow? Never! All the armies of Europe, Asia and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest; with a Buonaparte for a commander, could not by force, take a drink from the Ohio, or make a track on the Blue Ridge, in a trial of a thousand years. At what point, then, is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide.”

But now, America is willingly giving up its power and strength. And that emboldens enemies to invade. Because they have no fear of consequences or punishment. In fact, you and I live in a time when the government actually hands money and services over to the invaders.

And it was money they stole from you and me. To buy votes, influence, and power.

Yeah, America is on the fast and furious road to suicide.

Ol’ Abe told you what you can do about it. But he lived in a time when the majority of the citizens would take his advice. Unfortunately you and I live in a time when his words are considered toxic masculinity.

But freedom, rugged individuality, and masculinity aren’t toxic. Willful ignorance is.

But what can I do?
I’m only one man.
I’d love to see peace in this life
But I don’t have a plan.
Tell me what can I do?
I’m only one guy.
I’d love to see love conquer all and hatred run dry.
But what can I do?
Tell me what can I possibly do?

Stay tuned,
