I’ll do it. Yeah, somebody’s gotta keep an eye on ’em. And make sure they’re not fallin’ into decay. Like so many other parts of this land of the less free and brave. And my trusty MacBook will serve as my traveler journal to record what I discover along the way.

Oh, I guess I should clarify. I’m talkin’ about the signposts along the highways and byways of America.

It’s time to go check ’em out again. Because, I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but a lot of things have gone downhill in the past few years. I’m guessin’ those signposts haven’t been immune to the rampant neglect and hostility found.

Anyway, consider this my first traveler journal entry for this chapter.

And this chapter is in the planning and preparation stage. That stage when things have to look much worse before they can look better. I’m sure you know what I mean.

But I’ll keep you posted on the progress during the far-flung Fundy “flight.” In the meantime, here are the lyrics to a song I wrote, several years ago, for a photographer’s travel pics.

Faster than sound, faster than light
I go gallivant like a bon vivant
To the place where the day becomes night.

Droppin’ the drudge, casting the care
And my free heart flies when I close my eyes
