Singer Songwriter Carries A Dream
The Starry-Eyed-Singer-Songwriter And His Dream
One day there was this young singer songwriter who fell awake. He noticed a leftover dream in his head.
He shook his head…
Nope…still there.
He thought to himself, “If I get this dream out of my head, I’ll put it somewhere safe and keep it for later.”
Then, he jumped up and down. The dream started to come loose, but it was still there.
“Hmm,” he thought, “maybe a jump from a chair would do the trick.”
So, he grabbed one of his dining room chairs, climbed up on it, and jumped.
Plop! Sure enough the dream fell out. He put it in his pocket and his life was changed forever…
Stay tuned for more about the dream…

Singer Songwriter’s Dis
Don’t Dis This Singer Songwriter For His Dissonance
So…
…I’m workin’ on some new music, and it occurs to me…I really like dissonance in a chord. There’s just something full and rich about 3 notes very close together in a chord. They fill it up. They give it depth. They take it up a notch. Scratch that…they take it up 2 notches. Yeah, that’s better.
The next time you’re sitting at a piano, play an F minor 3 note chord. (F, A♭, C) It’s a nice mood setter. But then simply add G and gee! So much richer, fuller, smoother. Maybe it’s just me, and you can “dis” me if you like, but I love dissonance in music.
Just thought I’d pass that along. OK…back to your regularly scheduled program…
