Singer Songwriter On Drugs

Wanna Hear This Singer Songwriter‘s Take On Drugs?

I know all musicians are supposed to be tortured souls who need to escape the confines and restrictions of this mortal, flawed world.

I know we’re supposed to be seekers always searching but never truly finding.

I know we’re supposed to be experts on the myriad of ways to “expand the mind”.

I know…but…I never.

No, I have to say I never did drugs. Didn’t even smoke pot…which is now so legal here in Colorado it’s more prevalent than Starbuck’s.

Through the years I’ve received “tips” of marijuana, cocaine, and other things from people who enjoyed my performance on stage. I know they’d be aghast at how I flushed it all down the toilet on my breaks. But I did write a song back in the late 80′s or early 90′s using lots of drug references. You can download it from this blog. And if you were a subscriber to my podcast, you’d get it automatically without having to download it…so much easier.  :-)

The song is “Nothin’s Gonna Happen To You”.  Enjoy, and let me know how many drug references you count in the lyrics.

Stay tuned,

Singer Songwriter, Tony Funderburk

P.S. If you haven’t checked out the lyric poll on my Facebook Artist Page, go there now and put in your two cents worth. Another line is up for grabs.

Free Music

New Singer Songwriter Connection

Hey there…

Just wanted you to know I’m working on a new service for my email subscribers. It’s a much nicer interface for me to make free music available. And it’ll be much better for staying in touch with you…that is…if you’re a subscriber. If you are, you should get a note, soon, letting you know my service has changed. You can simply say yes to the new service, and you’ll stay on my list. Of course, you can opt out, but…

You don’t wanna see a grown man cry now do you?   :-)

So…watch over on the left, and a new email box should appear before long. If it’s already there by the time you read this, give it a try. Sign up. There’s free music on the “other side”.

Stay tuned,
